Er det mulig å starte, eller ha en Bordeauxkjeller uten å blakke seg helt? 110 av polets utvalg av arten, i alle kategorier, er testet for å prøve. Og det ble flere anbefalinger enn selv en ihuga Bordeauxentusiast ventet.
5. mars i år arrangerte Commanderie de Bordeaux Oslo og Norske Vinklubbers Forbund Bordeauxfestivalen 2019, hvor publikum kunne smake så og si alle tilgjengelige Bordeaux-viner til under kr. 400,-. Her er mine inntrykk fra messen.
Bordeaux er kjent for å ha noen av verdens beste viner. Og dyreste selv om resten av vinverden for det meste har tatt prisene igjen. Mindre kjent er det at regionen huser mange av verdens beste vinkjøp. De er kanskje ikke de mest tilgivende og bløte og sjarmerende i ung alder, men til gjengjeld kan nesten alle lagres og utvikle seg. Noen bare noen få år, langt flere opp mot ti år, og noen enda lengre. Druer med hovedvekt på merlot pleier å være ganske hyggelige i teksturen fra en fem til åtte års alder, mens cabernet sauvignon som hovedbestanddel gjerne bør se sin tiårsdag. Med en time eller to på karaffel kan de mykgjøres før den tid. Ettersom testen er stor skal jeg ikke skrive altfor langt her, jeg skrev også en artikkel om temaet vinkjeller av rimeligere Bordeaux for noen år tilbake. Som dere leser av testen, man kan fint lage en stor samling med vin fra hele Bordeaux uten at man trenger å bruke ekstreme beløp på den. En annen herlig side ved denne testen er at en del viner også har noen år på seg alt. Norske importører blir stadig flinkere til å finne gode og virkelig gode kjøp i Bordeaux. Også av viner med alder. Salget har doblet seg de siste årene og vi har blitt ett av eller det største eksportmarkedet for flere hus som Lanessan og Simard. Selv enkelte Sauterneshus ser en betydelig økning i salg her i Norge, og lite gleder undertegnede mer. Verdens beste kjøp kvalitet/pris. Og flasken kan stå åpen i kjøleskapet i uker. Uten at jeg skjønner at noen klarer å gå forbi en åpnet flaske så lenge. De hvite blir stadig mer presise og er leskende sommerviner. Selv den sjeldne Crémant de Bordeaux begynner å selge en del her hjemme. Nei, det finnes ingen unnskyldning til å ikke ha Bordeauxvinkjeller lengre.

Joda, den koster en hundrelapp over, men ble smakt sammen med 2015, og dette er billig for en såpass fullmoden Médoc. Ruby, garnet rim. Anise, detailed, floral, figs, dates, spices, layered, fully mature and elegant nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, figs, dates, elegant texture, velvety, tannins are very soft at this stage, detailed, minerals, my best bottle yet. A few years since the last time a bottle of this shone like this one, impressive. Drink now.
